Copyright and DMCA Notices

Include all of the following:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act for the owner.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, or a representative list when one notice covers multiple works.
3. Identification of the material claimed to infringe, including the exact page URL or download URL and enough detail to locate it.
4. The complainant's name and sufficient contact information, including an email address.
5. A statement of good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the complainant is authorised to act for the owner.

A notice can be rejected or delayed when it does not identify the work, material, authority, or contact route required for review. A complete notice can result in removal or restricted access while the claim is assessed. Relevant records may be preserved for dispute handling and legal compliance.

A person whose material was removed because of a copyright notice may send a counter-notice containing:

1. A physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the removed material and its location before removal.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification.
4. The sender's name, address, and telephone number.
5. Consent to the jurisdiction and service-of-process statements required by the law applicable to the counter-notice.

Legal advice may be appropriate before submitting a notice or counter-notice. False or materially misleading statements can create liability.

Repeated infringement tied to a controllable account or service relationship may lead to restriction or termination where such a relationship exists. Fraudulent notices, impersonation, harassment, and misuse of the reporting process may be rejected and documented.
